- Why do you want to invest in real estate? Retirement? Children’s education? Caring for aging parents? World travel? Philanthropic goals and aspirations?
- How much money do you have to invest? This is a key question, but it doesn’t necessarily put you out of any one market. Real estate investors can secure your money on title or in legal agreements.
- What is your timeline? Are you 25 with dreams of travelling the world by the age of 30? Are you 55 and worried about retirement? Be realistic and honest with yourself about how much time you want to invest before you receive your capital back, and your investment proceeds.
- Where do you want to invest? Or maybe you’ll go wherever the returns are most optimal for your budget and timeline? Some investors like to be able to drive or walk by their properties once a month—others just want to see their investments grow each year.
