As real estate investors, we plan and strategize to the best of our abilities. We run the numbers and arrange the financing. We carefully screen tenants, and perform property inspections. We do preventative maintenance, and upgrades to optimize our property’s performance. We investigate and purchase insurance. The list goes on ….
But there are some things we can’t plan for, or strategize.
As we watch our Alberta neighbours in various stages of crises, we are reminded to be so very grateful for all of our emergency responders.
Firefighters have arrived from other provinces, and the USA, to help. The military is sending assistance. Thousands of volunteers and neighbours are helping in any way they can. Veterinarians and animal shelters are offering space and treatment wherever they can too!
We are deeply grateful for all of the good humans, helping each other through tough times. We are reminded not to take our firefighters for granted. They are working to and through exhaustion. They are saving as many lives and properties as they can, with pets and livestock also receiving the benefits of their skills and VERY hard work.
Every property they save, is an insurance nightmare that a homeowner doesn’t have to endure.
It doesn’t seem nearly enough to just say thank you, because we are beyond grateful for each and every one of you! Please be safe.
